Dear Friends,

On Friday, April 3rd, we watched the chapel that has stood since 1851 come down. This was a deeply emotional moment for all of us who have loved this space and the history it holds. Saying goodbye was not easy — and we want to acknowledge the mix of sadness and reflection many of us feel.

At the same time, this moment marks a powerful step forward in the story of Youth and Family Outreach. The chapel was originally built for our organization, and for nearly 175 years, we have carried the mission established by our founders in 1846: to serve those most in need in our community. That mission has never changed, and it guides every decision we make.

The building that will rise in place of the chapel is not just a structure — it is a continuation of this legacy. It will allow us to expand access to early childhood education, provide affordable housing, and offer more comprehensive support to families, meeting the community’s needs for decades to come.
